Tach! The time for Karneval is upon us again so I thought it would be fitting to give you a few words and phrases that you might need to use, or at least understand, if you found yourself celebrating what is known as 'the fifth season' this year. Pretty much every year, I head to… Continue reading “Kölle Alaaf!”: Useful Words and Phrases for the ‘Fifth Season’
I spent the majority of March not actually in Deutschland, rather 2 weeks in England and 5 days in Budapest. That did, however, result in a very exciting month! And that was obviously helped by the fact that it's currently Semesterferien, so I've had nothing to do for uni. That's starting all again next week… Continue reading March 2018 in pictures
February was quite an exciting month, mainly because of one thing: Karneval! With Tim being a Kölner, I went with him for the second year to celebrate Germany's 'fifth season', as they call it, which basically saw us drink and eat sweets all day every day. Insgesamt habe ich die folgenden Städte zum ersten Mal besucht: Hachenburg, Porz, Zündorf und Troisdorf. Komische Kombination? Das wir sich klären... In Hachenburg hat Tim… Continue reading Osterwochenende
The past week and a bit has most probably been the most up-and-down time I've ever had in such a short space of time, and it's time to rant it all out on here, both the positives and the negatives, because I feel I just need to get it all written down to let it all… Continue reading A Rollercoaster Couple of Weeks
